GETTING TO BELLBIRD HOMESTEAD FROM THE SOUTH

Come North on the Bruce Highway - main route north out of Brisbane (M1)

Go past the Eumundi - Noosa Heads junction to the next one North signed to Cooroy.

Drive in towards Cooroy and road hits a T junction - turn left towards Cooroy.

After a short distance you come to a roundabout with a "water tank" clock tower on it at the start of Cooroy proper. Take the immediate left (i.e. not into the town) signed Ridgewood.

This is Maple Street. After a short distance you reach a mini-roundabout. Go straight over and it becomes Cooroy Belli Creek Road.

The farm is about 12km out along this road on the left signed number 1229. It feels a long way – 1229 = 12.29 kms ! There are lots of hills and sharp bends. In places, the side of the tarmac road has a gravel edge which it is the local custom to go on to as you pass oncoming traffic!

The property just before us has put a red traffic bollard up in a tree on the right pointing at their entrance which is a very useful landmark.

Further on, you will see a hanging sign to Bellbird Homestead on the left just before the entrance.

If you get to Ridgewood Community Hall you have gone too far!!
